WHAT HAPPENS IN A BYT SCHOOL WORKSHOP?
No two Bright Young Things workshops are the same. It depends on your goals. However at the core of every session will be children singing and dancing, playing games, lots of pretend play, storytelling and using our imagination. Every session will be a different adventure, either exploring a different theme, curriculum topic or developing a concept.
There is also the option to work towards a small performance for teachers and/or parents.
We write, adapt and devise original material that is bespoke to each group and bring along all of the resources to deliver the sessions.
Sessions can be developed to:
- Reinforce or teach important social skills or messages such as listening, voicing opinions, dealing with conflict and negotiation
- Work to your Foundation Stage Areas of Learning objectives such as exploring the seasons through character or understanding place through physicality and sensory story.
- Learn through drama to prepare children for many things including starting secondary school, preparing for transfer test, dealing with playground and new friend dynamics, learning about their world and much more.
Our classes develop fundamental age-appropriate skills such as communication, cooperation, confidence and concentration, delivered in a fun, active way!
