We’ve performed in the West End and trained with the biggest names but we’ve always known… there’s no place like home!
An award winning drama school taught exclusively by professional, trained actors and facilitators, Bright Young Things will give you the chance to act, create and star in your own drama. Returning from London, Lisa Duffy, LAMDA trained actor and qualified primary school teacher, set up Bright Young Things in 2010 in Magherafelt. Since then Bright Young Things has expanded with schools in Belfast, Holywood, Ballymena, Portstewart and Armagh and runs summer drama camps across Northern Ireland. Lisa is passionate about the power of drama to enhance every child’s Confidence, Communication and Creativity for life, not just the stage.
Our team of trained, experienced facilitators have extensive experience on stage, screen, radio, the classroom, the dance studio, the lecture theatre, the community centre, even the yoga studio! We only the choose the very best for our bright young things to ensure they receive the highest quality of teaching.

Sam O’Mahony
Sam O’Mahony is a London based actor and filmmaker.
Sam attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and quickly began work with the Royal Shakespeare Company after graduating. With years of experience on stage, television and in films, Sam is also a successful filmmaker and has even made some short films starring our very own BYTs!

Connor Phillips is a multi award winning TV, Radio Presenter, Live Host and DJ
Connor’s TV Presenting work has seen him working on some of the most watched TV Programmes across MTV, BBC, Sky TV, UTV and RTE making him one of the industry’s most accomplished Live Event Hosts and now you can hear Connor every day on BBC Radio Ulster.
