Pressing pause as a new Bright Young Thing is born!

Hi there folks,

After a dramatic early arrival, I have given birth to my very own bright young thing, Art Rafferty, born on 18th July 2021. 

Art decided he wanted to join the fun much sooner than expected in very theatrical fashion but thankfully we are now both home and doing well.

However, Art has decided that he wants his mummy all to himself for a while now and who am I to argue with the boss! 

As such, BYT Drama will be closed for maternity leave from now until next year.

The BYT Team will really miss our weekly classes nurturing confidence, communication and creativity in so many bright young things from across Northern Ireland.

Personally, BYT has been my baby for the last 11 years and I have thrown all my energy into making it the most authentic and valuable experience possible for every child, parent and team member who has joined the BYT family. I believe so strongly that children deserve to feel full of imagination and self belief, however now it’s time for the new baby in my life to get all of my attention for a wee while.

We will most certainly be back but for now, we are pressing pause. 

All of our amazing BYT team will be super busy with other exciting projects in the arts sector so keep an eye on our social media for lots of creative events going on in Northern Ireland, updates on BYT, oh and of course some cute photos of the main man, Art! 

Thank you truly to everyone who has been involved in BYT. We have always had such a caring and loyal community and I can’t wait to see you all again next year for more adventures.
